What is SSN – and why is it important for you?

The Student Welfare Organization of Southeast Norway (SSN) is your student welfare provider. Once you have paid the semester fee, you gain access to services that make your student life safer, more affordable, and more social. SSN provides everything you need to thrive as a student.

Advisors on campus

Each campus has an advisor who is there to support you.

You can reach out if you, for example:

• Have questions about orientation week and starting your studies

• Need help finding a social group that suits you

• Want advice on living well with others in shared housing

It’s better to have one conversation too many than one too few. Remember, SSN is here for you.

Counselling service with a psychologist

You can also talk to our psychologists and counsellors. The counselling service is free for USN students, and you can book appointments both online and in person.

• You can get help here if you’re dealing with stress, restlessness, anxiety, or other challenges.

• You don’t have to wait until things feel “serious.”
